Spy School Review

Hello, today I want to tell you about a book that I really love – Spy School by Stuart Gibbs.

Spy School Review

What is the book about?

Spy School is a book about a boy named Ben Ripley who is genius at Maths. He is offered a place at Spy School, which he agrees to but he is clearly not cut out to be a spy since he makes so many mistakes. Soon we find out that recruiting Ben to Spy School was just a trap to lure out the mole that lurked within the school.

What’s so good about this book?

I think it is a great book because it is extremely interesting with lots of exciting twists and turns. It is impossible to put down and it hooks you in straightaway making you wonder what will happen to Ben next.

Why I liked it

I really like stories or movies about spies and it was exactly that. Also, it kept me guessing throughout at who was the secret double agent and altogether it was a fun book to read.

I would recommend this book to children age 9+ as it has mild violence in it. It is a bit like the Ruby Redfort books as both have teenage spies in.

This book is the first of the 5 books in the series. The other books in the series are Spy Camp, Evil Spy School, Spy Ski School and Spy School Secret Service.  Spy School Goes South is coming out soon.

Rating: 4/5
